It may seem narcissistic, but I spend quite a lot of time reading other people's "100 things about me". I rather enjoy them. So...here's my list, with just one more.
- Since I was 6, my dream job has been to be a morning news personality.
- I flunked photography as a freshman in college. Got a 0 in fact because I: never went to class and never turned in a photo.
- I spent the next 3 years trying to get my GPA high enough to participate in things and graduate.
- I've sung the National Anthem at more than a dozen minor league baseball and hockey games.
- When I was in the 8th grade I bullied a classmate and hit him in the jaw. He's now serving our country in the military and could look me up and kick my butt.
- I often fantasize about going back and living my entire life all over again.
- I'm addicted to Sudoku and can never pass a puzzle without filling in the blanks.
- I once played for the Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters and scored 6 points.
- At a basketball camp in high school an assistant coach asked if I'd be interested in walking on the team at Auburn University.
- I've been either fired or 'let go' from two tv station jobs.
- Neither were traumatic and actually were blessings in disguise.
- The most fun job I ever had was as a dj at The Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham.
- I've never taken a hit, a toke or a snort of any illegal drug.
- When I went off to college, I didn't know a single person on campus and had never seen the campus before orientation.
- One reason I went away to college was because my girlfriend broke up with me and I didn't want to see her with another guy.
- I was nearly knocked out by a Gold Gloves boxer for a feature story.
- When I interviewed Willie Nelson, I couldn't think of any questions.
- All I could think of was "this is so cool!"
- I regret never playing football in high school.
- I was voted "Class Clown" in my high school senior class along with my best friend Buck.
- The hardest thing I've ever done was call my mom to tell her my first wife had left me.
- I got a leg cramp swimming in a lake when I was a freshman in college and if a buddy hadn't seen me and rushed in to pull me to shore, I think I might have drowned.
- I once sang "Folsom Prison Blues" on stage in a Las Vegas hotel.
- I once won a talent show doing standup comedy with material I stole from real comedians.
- I was saved and baptized when I was in the 5th grade.
- It was years later before I really understood what that meant.
- When other people gripe about their parents, I have no idea what that must be like.
- My sister and I have never been close.
- My son and daughter are best friends.
- I met my wife when she was the commerical producer at the tv station where I worked.
- A low-C student, yet I'm really good at Trivial Pursuit.
- My teachers always told me I should apply myself.
- I wish I had listened.
- When my mom substituted for my 2nd grade teacher, she had to spank me in front of the class because I was being such a clown.
- As a senior in high school, I felt God calling me to the ministry.
- I changed my major from religion after hearing I would have to take Greek in seminary.
- I've never bet on baseball, or football or basketball.
- I did win $200 on two separate trips to a Tunica casino on the same video poker machine.
- I have a large record collection that I still listen to on a turntable I bought for $1 at a yard sale.
- I once emceed the Mrs. Alabama Pageant.
- All of the girls in my high school class "liked me like their brother".
- My favorite movies are: Casablanca, When Harry Met Sally and Serendipity.
- I feel like a sissy since Diehard isn't on there.
- I once had a double-eagle on a par-5.
- It came after I hooked my drive to the fringe of another hole.
- I played golf with Ray Romano and Kevin James.
- I won $2 from Kevin.
- I've been working on a screenplay for the past 15 years.
- I hate travelling.
- I hate waiting on anything so I always arrive where I need to be either late, or just seconds early.
- In high school, after dating this girl, she came out of the closet as a lesbian.
- I've wondered if I had something to do with that.
- One of my best friends in high school was my English teacher Mr. Bill.
- I don't cuss in public.
- I sometimes do when I'm by myself.
- I've been in the same fantasy baseball league for 13 years and I win it nearly every year.
- I knew what I wanted to name my son 20 years before he was born.
- He's named after me and my dad.
- I don't know my way under the hood of a car.
- I can bake a really moist cake.
- I wonder if I have enough testosterone.
- I haven't gone a day without a cup of coffee (or 2, or 3, or 8) since I was in the 9th grade.
- My senior year in college was the best year of my life.
- I'm a hugger, not a hand-shaker.
- I'd rather talk with old friends rather than meet new ones.
- I wish it were the other way around.
- I graduated high school and college without writing one term paper.
- My favorite co-anchor was when I anchored the morning news at WHNT with Karen Tarica.
- I hate my high school senior portrait. Magnum P.I perms were all the rage in 1983.
- I once scored 33 points in a high school basketball game.
- The day after the game the opposing coach offered me the videotape. When I drove to the school to pick it up, I nearly lost my car after it stalled in high water on the road and started drifting to the swollen creek.
- I once owned a vicious cocker spaniel who bit me hard enough to draw blood dozens of times.
- I cried when I had to give him up after he bit my daughter.
- I have a difficult time slowing down enough to relax.
- I'm very good and multi-tasking. Sometimes working on 4 or 5 things at one time.
- I'm not very good at working on a project when I have a long time before deadline.
- I absolutely loved being my own boss for 1 1/2 years.
- I like having a cigar every now and then. Especially when it's cold outside.
- I love east Tennessee in the fall.
- I've put together a "year in review" video of our kids every year since 1995. We watch them all every Christmas eve plus the new one.
- On my 6th birthday I was on the Cousin Cliff cartoon show and accidentally put my elbow in another girl's birthday cake, live on television.
- 20 years later, I was the news anchor in the same studio for the same tv station.
- I've always regretted taking a job back in 1989 for a tv station in Florence, Alabama and wonder how my life might be different today had I turned them down.
- I've regretted not taking a job with a Birmingham tv station in 1995 and wonder how my life might be different today had I not turned them down.
- I played "Hawkeye" in our senior play of M*A*S*H.
- With our southern accents it sounded like it might have been set in the Civil War rather than Korea.
- I dread telling my kids the truth about Santa Claus.
- I told a white lie in college to stay out of trouble and have had a guilty conscience about it ever since.
- I continue to struggle with the difference between "its" and "it's"
- I can be a real smartass, sometimes intentionally, but often times just because I'm trying to be funny.
- One of my big pet peeves is when tv networks air "Christmas episodes" in July.
- I hate that "The Wonder Years" and "WKRP in Cincinnati" aren't available on DVD because of music copyright problems.
- I've talked my way out of more speeding tickets than I have received.
- I worry that I'm not saving enough for my retirement.
- I want to be more like my dad.
- I once did a tv commercial for a car dealership in Milwaukee.
- I'd rather watch most sporting events on an HD TV than attend it in person.
- I sang at my former girlfriend's sister's wedding and have often wondered what they must say about me if they ever watch the video.
- I believe the Bible to be true and that there is a literal heaven and a literal hell. I have a lot of faith in that but still hope I'm right.
- If I never do anything else, being a father to my kids is worth being here for.
- After making this list, I don't feel that good about myself.

Like you, I love reading other people's 100 Things lists! I don't know about you, but making out my 100 things list was harder than I thought it was going to be. ; )
Re: # 14 -- me, too! Only it was at the West TN Baptist university. I was going to go to C-N, but changed my mind, reluctantly, about two months before school started. Best decision I ever made.
Stop by and visit my list if you get a chance. :)

I, too, enjoyed reading your list. So much I didn't know. I guess that shouldn't be too big a surprise, since we've never met. :)
